For those of you who don't know who we are, we sell hand shaped cowboy hats. Our hats include: Shady Brady Hats, Kenny Chesney Hats, Toby Keith Hats, Scala, Raffia Straw hats and more. Cowboy Hat County has been in business since 2001 and is a family owned business.  We don't want to be just another website out there that sells cowboy hats; we want to develop a community. We are always open to hear what you have to say.

CMT Awards versus ACM Awards

Okay so I watched the ACM awards and it was GREAT! I will say I was surprised because some of the biggest names in country music did not get an award. For Example, Taylor Swift and Kenny Chesney did not win an award. These I though would have done very well. Especially when I look at how popular their music has been. This is not to take away from the winners; all of these artist are very talented. One of the biggest surprises was Miranda Lambert taking home "Video of the Year" and "Female Video of the Year". The CMT awards are all about the video.

Kenny Chesney 3D and The ACM Awards are Right Around the Corner

Kenny Chesney 3D is coming April 21st. This 3D film will give Kenny Chesney fans a taste of the concert scene without being at the concert. I think this is fantastic! You get to see Kenny Chesney up close without having to buy front row seats. Okay, so maybe it isn't exactly the same, but I'll take it at those theater prices.

CMT Awards: Brad Paisley, George Strait, Kenny Chesney and More

Some of our favorite country singers are being nominated for some CMT awards including, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney and George Strait for Entertainer of the Year and Top Male Vocalist. We don't know who we would vote for in those two categories because we love all of their music equally! Who would you vote for? To see the other nominees and categories check out this article:

We would like to see Brad Paisley win Album of the Year award for "American Saturday Night". We would vote for Kenny Chesney get the Best Vocal Event for teaming up with Dave Mathews to sing "I'm Alive"; they were a KILLER combination! And our vote goes to Miranda Lambert for Female Vocalist of the Year.

All of these country music artists that are nominated are talented beyond belief. Thanks to guys over at the CMT blog for posting the list of nominees!

The funny thing is I remeber being at the concert in Chicago this past summer where it seems they took some of the footage to put in the video. What do you guys think?

Other things going on, we created another website, www.acowboyhat.com . We created this site for people who just want a simple "black and white" way to buy their cowboy hat. For now we are just marketing, Stetson hats, Resistol Cowboy Hats and Charlie 1 Horse hats. This includes country music singer hats from George Strait, Montgomery Gentry and soon (the rumor is) Brad Paisley (currently with Serritelli).? We even have Richard "The King" Petty's hat. What do you think of the website?

Another new annoucement is the Resistol, Charlie 1 Horse and Stetson have issues their Winter 2010/2011 catalogs. You can see their new lines soon on our website.

For those that don't know, CowboyHatCountry.com has been a long time online reseller, getting its start on eBay (we are still there!). Over the years we've grown and grown eventually opening a full-fledged website and now a full-fledged store. We are family run businesses where even the kids help out!

Zac Brown Band joins Kenny Chesney on Tour

At Cowboy Hat Country we are BIG fans of the Zac Brown Band and we are bigger fans of Kenny Chesney (after all his Blue Chair Bay Hat Line is our best seller this year). Imagine our suprise when we saw today's article on ChesneyWorld!

Normal Tour regular, Lady Antebellum (who we also like!) isn't going to attend and the Zac Brown band is filling in. These shows are held in Bloomington, IL and Indianapolis, IN (a great town). 

This is great news and a great way for the band to continue to raise their profile. Earlier this week they announced their Breaking Southern Ground tour that kicks off in Duluth, GA. In classic Zac Brown style, a few lucky fans will be treated to Zac Brown cooking at the shows. Nice!!
